About the Library | Friends of the Library

Established in 1989, the Friends give support to the Library

Funds received by the Friends from membership dues, book & tag sales and fundraisers are used solely for Library needs beyond the budget provided by the town, with an emphasis on Children's Services.

Here are a few of the projects sponsored by the Friends:

• Books on CD for Children's collection
• Library card sleeves
• Rainy day bags
• Roger Williams Park Zoo - Discount Passes
• Summer Fast Read program

The Next Chapter
The Friends have begun a campaign to help raise funds for the Next Chapter of Library services. Over the next few years the goals are to provide more computers, increase shelving space and redesign the Children's Area. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
