What is the Nutmeg Award? 10 books are nominated in two different levels; (see displays at the libraries & www.nutmegaward.org for lists) intermediate for grades 4 – 6, teen for grades 7 & up
What should I read? Kids read as many nominated books as they like. Vote in Jan 2008 for your favorite book (You may vote for 1 book in each category and you may only vote once). Winner is announced in Feb 2008.
How do I vote? To enter this “sweet” contest, you fill out a ballot and drop it into the ballot box. Ballots and ballot boxes are available at the Thompson Public Library & Thompson Middle School Library. There is a jar of candy at both locations. Put your guess for the amount of candy on the back of your ballot. The person who comes the closest without going over will win the jar! You may also be eligible to receive a $5.00 book fair certificate to be used at the next Middle School Book Fair.
