Adult Reading Program

Read books or listen to audios, then visit the Library and enter the raffle! One slip for each book or audio. Drawings held at the end of each month. These gift certificates have been generously donated.

Wednesday, June 17 -- 6-7:30pm Be Creative @ Your Library Summer Kickoff Party... Don’t miss it! This is a dance party with fun activities for the whole family. Registration is not required.

Wednesday, July 1 -- 6pm An Evening with the author of Noonday Jackals, Sandra Leone. Book reading and signing for Teens & Adults.

Wednesday, July 8 -- 6pm Create Colorful Clothes... Tie dye a shirt, make sharpie marker socks, bejewel your flip flops, create hardware jewelry. Please bring an article of clothing to work on. All other materials provided.

Wednesday, July 15 -- 6pm for grades 2 – 4, 7pm for grades 5 & up Imagine you are on stage... Come and create a character with actress, Cherie Leone and her magical puppets! Registration is required.

Wednesday, July 22 -- 6pm Duct Tape Party... Use your imagination to create duck tape projects. Materials provided, for grades 4 & up

Wednesday, July 29 -- 6pm Creative Community Cook-off... Does you family have what it takes to take home the title Thompson’s Best Cook? Please join us and our panel of judges as we sample good food with good friends. Registration is required.

Tuesday, July 14 Drop in and Dance anytime while the library is open. Play Freeze Dance in the Program Room. Popsicles available.

Wednesday, July 15 -- 2pm Books to Movies @ Your Library The Jungle Book (G)

3-5pm Harry Potter Event Let’s refresh our memories before the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince movie comes out. For grades 5 & up.

Tuesday, July 21 Drop in and Create a writing project. Materials available in the Program Room. Projects may be posted on the bulletin board.

Wednesday, July 22 -- 2pm Box Bonanza... Activities will include What Can You Do With a Box?, Cereal Box House Challenge, and Tissue Box Puppets! Please bring empty cereal and rectangular tissue boxes. This event is suitable for school age children. Registration is not required.

Thursday, July 23 -- 10:30 Summer Stories for children ages birth to 5 years. Registration is not required.
